Hi!

This is the picture I chose to start in my deviant art gallery, and before I get flamed, I feel I must explain what it means to me.

First off, I was cleaning out my art box, full of old papers, and this one was at the very bottom. This picture is the one picture I drew in the course of a five day dearth, in which I went without creation entirely.

This picture was drawn in the journey from old house to car to hotel to car to guest house to impending homelessness to new house to new world. It was about a year ago this day, when I first reached Rhode Island, that this picture was drawn.

It is me, in the form of my character, shown being taken against my will from everything I've held dear, friends, family, memories, and so much more, in the South, which is why she's tied. She's gagged because it isn't her choice, and nothing she says will matter, like me. Rarely does she cry, but this time it isn't just because of all she's left, but because of the sensation that she has no control. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it is one of my worst fears. I CAN'T STAND not being in control of something that happens to myself or others. And she's in a box, because she's being moved.

I should definitely be used to this now, it's my fifth move and I'm 14 years old. However, I figured this is a good thing with which to start my gallery, because it symbolizes the transition into new places (Except SC to RI was SO much more traumatic, because we were homeless for about three days).
